IKEA Portland partnered with Jifiti , a gifting startup, who brought in moblers to design and develop a seamless digital gift registry experience for their U.S. customers.
The solution includes a mobile app and web platform , enabling customers to create and share personalized gift lists for weddings, housewarmings, and other special occasions. Guests can view the gift list on their phones, visit the IKEA store, and — using barcode scanning inside the app — find the exact product in the store. Once purchased, the app automatically marks the item as bought, ensuring no duplicates and a smoother gifting experience for everyone.
This project exemplifies how moblers digitizes offline experiences , integrating physical retail with a modern mobile and web experience that customers love.
