IKEA Portland partnered with Jifiti, a gifting startup, who brought in moblers to design and develop a seamless digital gift registry experience for their U.S. customers.
The solution includes a mobile app and web platform, enabling customers to create and share personalized gift lists for weddings, housewarmings, and other special occasions. Guests can view the gift list on their phones, visit the IKEA store, and — using barcode scanning inside the app — find the exact product in the store. Once purchased, the app automatically marks the item as bought, ensuring no duplicates and a smoother gifting experience for everyone.
This project exemplifies how moblers digitizes offline experiences, integrating physical retail with a modern mobile and web experience that customers love.
