Stanley Black & Decker, a global leader in construction and home improvement tools, partnered with moblers to develop a series of advanced IoT solutions that combine physical tools with smart digital control.
In the first phase, moblers built a dedicated mobile app to control the SBAD CUT device. Users can input measurements manually or via voice commands, send them directly to the cutting tool, and save a full history of cuts. The app also allows users to define reusable presets for faster workflows.
In a second phase, moblers designed and delivered a prototype for a smart measuring tool, including custom electronics and enclosure design. The device connects to a laser or tape measure and supports:
Direct measurement using the device, or
Voice or manual input via the app.
Measurements are stored locally and can be sent at the press of a button to the CUT or any compatible cutting tool.
